I saw this glam ad and have decided - with the money I will save on cigarettes I will buy myself a makeover.   

I showed my husband and he agrees!  Yep.  I'm gonna buy me a new look!

It was Monday morning.  I thought it important to announce my decision to quit smoking to  all my friends and collegues.
This would comit me.  After all it would be embarrassing to not keep my promise, my vow.

"Listen up everybody", I raised my voice above the office din.  They all stopped chatting and waited expectantly.
"I am giving up smoking!  This is the last packet of cigarettes I will buy". I proudly announced.  What did I expect?
They shrugged collectively and resumed their conversations.
"Hey, listen.  I really mean it.  I have never said that before have I?  Well have I?"
"Is that anything like your vows in January to stick to that Aitkins Diet?" Miss Snotty Know-it-all smirked.
"Or the 'No more coffee, no more drink" detox you went on?" piped my so called best friend.
"What about your "No more men"?  Shouted from the filing cabinets.

"No!" I bleated.  "This is nothing like that.  I really mean to do this.  i HAVE TO DO IT!"
